Another attempt into Unreal Engine - this time with more complex foliage and lighting.
There are hundreds of ferns, leaves, tufts of grass, twigs and other forest debris scattered throughout the scene. The subsurface scattering and volumetric lighting alone would be a nightmare to render conventionally. Here - its all in real-time.
Depth-of-field is another normally time-consuming effect that here, is almost inconsequential to incorporate into a scene.
I ended up capturing this entire scene as a 360-degree HDRI for use in other projects.
